About the Event
Meghan Dobbelsteijn Bisschops (The Netherlands) works in the field of Dutch mime, physical and visual theatre. She received her BA in Mime at the Amsterdam School of the Arts (AHK) and her Theatre & Education degree at the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU).
As a maker and performer, she searches for the universal connection between people through physical and magical realms.
Meghan currently finds joy and challenge in connecting mythologies, rituals, movement practices and science.
Over The Shifting Currents of the Sea is a mime theatre research about the questions; What is home? How to mourn loss together? And can grief bring people together?
In the world we live in it can be challenging to experience unity. Countries are divided by borders, laws and contracts that bring along privileges and separation, wars between and within those borders, news and social media that share opposite points of view, rapidly changing…
